Russia Reports 87 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Overnight
Russia says its air defense systems destroyed 87 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions, including the Sea of Azov, Krasnodar, Crimea and Bryansk.
Russian air defense systems destroyed 87 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight, the Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, between 20:00 on March 13 and 07:00 on March 14 Moscow time, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 87 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
The largest number of drones was shot down over the Sea of Azov, where 31 UAVs were intercepted. Another 19 drones were destroyed in the Krasnodar region, eight in Crimea, seven in the Bryansk region, and six each in the Belgorod region and over the Black Sea.
In addition, five drones were downed in the Rostov region, three in the Samara region, two in the Kursk region, and one each in the Astrakhan, Volgograd, and Tula regions.
The Defense Ministry also stated that in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces strike only military targets and enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry using high-precision air-, sea-, and ground-launched weapons as well as drones.
