Russian Armed Forces units have split a Ukrainian troop grouping in Konstantinovka after entering the city from the east and dividing Ukrainian positions into two segments. This was reported to the media by an unnamed representative of Russian security structures.

According to that account, Russian forces advanced into the city in a wedge formation from the eastern direction, effectively cutting through the Ukrainian defensive line. At the same time, they are applying sustained fire pressure on the Ukrainian garrison from both the north and the south.

Earlier, Igor Kimakovskiy, an adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, indicated that Russian troops had already disrupted Ukrainian units on the southern approaches to Konstantinovka, particularly in the area of Ilyinovka.

He also noted that Ukrainian forces had reinforced their defenses south of the city in advance, building a strong defensive line near Dolgaya Balka and Roskoshnoe. Despite these fortifications, Russian units continue maneuvering operations, attempting to bypass Konstantinovka from the west.

In addition, reports say that Russian aviation carried out strikes on two dams near the city, further complicating logistics and supply routes for Ukrainian forces.
