Between 20:00 on April 19 and 07:00 on April 20, Moscow time, Russian air defense units intercepted and destroyed 112 fixed-wing drones launched by Ukrainian forces, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The UAVs were shot down over multiple regions, including Astrakhan, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga and Kursk regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black seas.

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev described the strike as large-scale. He reported that in Tuapse, one person was killed and another injured as a result of the drone attack. According to the regional head, the city faced another mass overnight raid, during which a man died in the seaport area, while a second victim received medical assistance.

A fire broke out at the Tuapse seaport following the attack. Falling debris from intercepted drones damaged windows in several buildings, including a school, a kindergarten, a church, a museum, and a residential property. A gas pipeline was also reported damaged.

In response to the incident, operations at Krasnodar and Gelendzhik airports were temporarily suspended.
