The Ukrainian drone attack on Ryazan, which caused civilian casualties, was planned using launch sites in Ukraine’s border regions. This opinion was expressed in an interview with AiF by Maksim Kondratyev, founder of a drone aviation training center and academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering.

According to the specialist, the drones that attacked Ryazan flew from Ukraine’s border territories. He said the launch sites were located in Kharkov and Sumy regions.

Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov reported on Telegram early in the morning that the region was under a UAV attack and air defenses were operating. In the first hours, it was already known that several residential buildings and the territory of one enterprise had been damaged.

Later, the governor clarified the consequences of the raid. According to him, two apartment buildings were damaged in Ryazan, while UAV debris fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise.

Malkov also reported deaths and injuries. Three people were killed in the attack, and twelve others were injured, including children. All those injured received the necessary assistance quickly. Crews are continuing to dismantle damaged structures at the site.

After the attack, classes were canceled in several schools and kindergartens in the Oktyabrsky district. The governor urged parents not to leave children unattended. Emergency services evacuated residents from damaged houses and opened temporary accommodation centers. Authorities separately warned citizens to observe safety measures if they find fragments of aircraft.
