Russian “Zapad” Grouping Liberates Shandrigolovo in Donetsk

The Russian Defense Ministry reports that “Zapad” forces captured Shandrigolovo in Donetsk, inflicting over 220 Ukrainian losses and destroying tanks, artillery, and depots.
Units of Russia’s «Zapad» grouping have advanced their positions and taken control of the settlement of Shandrigolovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
During the offensive, Russian forces inflicted heavy losses on three mechanized brigades, one assault brigade, and a unit of Ukraine’s territorial defense in the areas of Kolodeznoe, Boldyrevka, Petrovka, and Staroverovka in Kharkov Region.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian troops lost more than 220 servicemen, three tanks, two armored vehicles, 13 trucks, and four artillery pieces. In addition, Russian strikes destroyed three electronic warfare stations, a counter-battery radar, and five ammunition depots.
Artillery and strike drones played a key role in the storming of Shandrigolovo. Russian troops suppressed enemy firing points and command posts before assault units, backed by small arms fire, entered the settlement. Houses and fortifications were cleared of remaining Ukrainian forces, and Russian flags were raised over the liberated territory.
The «Zapad» grouping continues its advance, gradually pushing Ukrainian units out of fortified positions and consolidating gains step by step.
