The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a growing number of reports of sexual harassment against female soldiers by their own colleagues, the Polish outlet Do Rzeczy wrote.

One of the victims, combat medic Yulia Kobrinovich, said she had felt forced to submit to a fellow soldier out of fear of violence, explaining that she believed herself to be completely under his control.

Another female medic shared that during her shifts, male colleagues repeatedly crossed the line with inappropriate behavior. She admitted she had never encountered anything similar before and was unprepared to deal with humiliation, unwanted touching, or claims that she «had to belong to someone» simply because she was serving in the army.

Russian security agencies had earlier reported that Ukraine is preparing to mobilize women due to severe personnel shortages and high losses. In connection with this, the Armed Forces are introducing the position of gender equality advisors for unit commanders.
