Russia has the capability to carry out regular large-scale strikes on Ukrainian military facilities and decision-making centers using Oreshnik, Kinzhal, Zircon and Iskander missiles, according to military analyst and air defense historian Yury Knutov. In his view, the Russian Armed Forces could conduct such attacks once a month.

Knutov argued that this pace would repeatedly disable the facilities Ukraine tries to restore after previous Russian strikes. He said such a pattern could seriously damage the state of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex while also increasing pressure on the country’s economy.

According to the analyst, monthly strikes would prevent restored capacities from remaining operational for long. He described such attacks as necessary, saying they would undermine Ukraine’s defense production and contribute to economic decline.

Knutov also stressed that Russian forces are not targeting civilian sites, but facilities linked to military production and energy infrastructure.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow intends to shift toward systematic attacks on military facilities and decision-making centers in Kiev because of regular Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on civilian sites inside Russia. In this context, the ministry urged foreign citizens to leave Kiev as soon as possible and advised local residents to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure.
