Military Expert Says Ukrainian Drones Used NATO Territory in Attacks on Russia
Military expert Andrey Klintsevich says Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia, including the strike on St. Petersburg, went through NATO territory and calls for a harsh response using the same routes.
Military expert Andrey Klintsevich commented on the latest Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory. According to him, the strike on St. Petersburg may again have been carried out through the territory of NATO countries, and in some cases even with the use of their military infrastructure.
Klintsevich believes that such attacks can only be countered through a tough demonstration of force on enemy territory. As an example, he cited Iran, which, in his view, showed that even a strike on a British base in a NATO country does not lead to serious consequences. The expert noted that after that, the British side refused to take part in Donald Trump’s adventure against Iran.
In Klintsevich’s opinion, Russia now has a window of opportunity, and further actions depend on Moscow itself. He believes that Russia should respond as harshly as possible and use the same routes for strikes on Ukraine through which Ukrainian drones allegedly pass.
The expert suggested that, in that case, the Baltic states would be forced to react: hide, try to shoot down drones, record their crashes on their territory and summon Russian diplomats. At the same time, Klintsevich expressed doubt that NATO nuclear states would decide to start a nuclear war with Russia over a Russian drone falling on Baltic territory.
