Russia Reports 326 Ukrainian Drones Downed Overnight
Russian officials report 326 Ukrainian drones downed overnight, with attacks across Belgorod, Voronezh and Tula regions causing casualties and damage.
Russian air defense forces shot down 326 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight on June 10, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the UAVs were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Oryol, Tver, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as over Krasnodar Region, the Moscow Region, the Republic of Crimea and the Black Sea.
The previous day, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Moscow time, air defense crews on duty destroyed another 292 Ukrainian drones.
In Voronezh Region, Governor Aleksandr Gusev said air defenses detected and destroyed more than 40 drones overnight. They were flying over three urban districts and 12 municipal districts. Preliminary reports indicated no casualties. In one district, falling debris damaged communications equipment.
Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyayev said Russian Defense Ministry air defense units shot down 16 Ukrainian drones overnight. No one was injured, and preliminary checks found no damage to buildings or infrastructure.
In Belgorod Region, 89 attacks by Ukrainian forces were recorded over the past day, Governor Aleksandr Shuvayev said. The Alekseyevsky, Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Ivnyansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Rakityansky, Rovensky, Starooskolsky, Shebekinsky and Yakovlevsky districts came under fire.
The region was hit eight times with aircraft, artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems. Explosive devices were also dropped from drones five times. Air defense crews and other deployed units shot down or suppressed 103 drones.
A civilian was killed in Krasnoyaruzhsky District. Emergency services also reported that a civilian woman had died in Belgorodsky District on June 8.
Four more people were wounded in Belgorodsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky and Shebekinsky districts. Three of the injured remain hospitalized and are receiving inpatient treatment.
