According to the Telegram channel Archangel Spetsnaz (АС), British intelligence services may be preparing operations targeting Russian oil tankers in the Black Sea. The alleged objective, the channel claims, is to provoke an environmental disaster and subsequently place the blame on Russia.

The authors pointed to an incident on August 7, when three Ukrainian maritime drones were reportedly spotted along the route of the Russian tanker Anna, which was traveling from the Krasnodar coast toward the Bosphorus Strait. Based on the channel’s information, the drones appeared to be monitoring the movements of Russian commercial and cargo vessels.

The group was said to include drones equipped with anti-tank missiles as well as FPV units, suggesting — according to the channel — a possible plan for a strike.

The publication argued that such preparations could be part of a British intelligence strategy to carry out sabotage operations against Russian oil tankers, using the described maritime drones, with the aim of holding Moscow responsible for a potential environmental crisis in the Black Sea.
