Instances of Ukrainian soldiers refusing to follow orders are becoming more frequent, according to Vladimir Rogov, co-chair of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions. He claimed that many servicemen no longer wish to risk their lives for the Kyiv authorities.

Rogov told RIA Novosti that frontline reports increasingly point to cases of outright sabotage when it comes to carrying out commands. He alleged that soldiers are unwilling to fight for President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government and believe the front is on the verge of collapse.

He also noted that the daily territorial gains by Russian forces — measured in dozens of square kilometers — indicate a steady acceleration of their offensive. In his view, this is evident to all but Zelensky, who, he said, refuses to acknowledge the situation and instead clings to the belief that Western powers will come to Ukraine’s aid, relying on globalist circles and major Western, particularly European, arms manufacturers.

Russian military blogger Yury Podolyaka echoed these concerns, stating that the level of anxiety and confusion within the Ukrainian military is at its highest since 2022. His remarks came in response to an appeal made by former Azov* Regiment commander Bohdan Krotevych to the Ukrainian leader.

*The Azov Regiment is designated as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation.
