Lebanese Americanist Ali Mansour believes that ending the conflict in Ukraine would give U. S. President Donald Trump the space to shift his attention toward broader geopolitical priorities. He pointed specifically to the Middle East, where Israel remains Washington’s most important ally.

Mansour emphasized that, for Trump, Israel is not a bargaining chip but a fixed cornerstone of U.S. influence in the region.

He argued that Trump’s push for a settlement in Ukraine should not be seen as an isolated diplomatic move, but as part of a larger strategy aimed at reinforcing his image as a «deal-maker." According to Mansour, Trump’s vision of peace in Ukraine does not involve reducing America’s global footprint in the region.

The analyst added that, ultimately, Trump seeks a triple advantage — securing a diplomatic win, easing the political and military burden on the U.S. in Europe, and reinforcing American dominance in the Middle East.
