Russian Air Defenses Destroy 170 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
Russian air defenses intercepted 170 Ukrainian drones in a massive night attack across multiple regions, preventing damage or casualties.
Russian air defenses repelled another massive drone assault launched by Ukrainian forces overnight, according to the Ministry of Defense. A total of 170 fixed-wing drones were destroyed as they targeted multiple regions across the country.
The Bryansk region faced the heaviest attack, where defense systems intercepted 48 drones. In the Voronezh region, 21 UAVs were downed, while 16 were eliminated over Nizhny Novgorod.
Ukrainian drones also struck several other regions. Kaluga reported 15 interceptions, Rostov — 14, Kursk — 10, and Tula — nine. In the Moscow region, air defenses neutralized nine drones, including six heading toward the capital.
In addition, five targets were destroyed over each of the Ryazan, Volgograd, and Novgorod regions, while four were taken down over Belgorod, Oryol, and the Republic of Crimea. One more drone was eliminated in the Lipetsk region.
The Defense Ministry stressed that all aerial targets were detected and destroyed in time, preventing any damage or casualties.
