Ukrainian Forces Concentrate Near Russian Border, Drones Spotted Over Rylsk

Ukrainian forces gather near the Rylsk border in Russia’s Kursk region. Drone activity intensifies as analysts warn of possible breakthrough attempts.
Ukrainian forces have concentrated their troops near the Russian border in the Rylsky district of the Kursk region. The buildup comes alongside an uptick in drone activity, as Kyiv’s military continues to target Russian supply lines.
According to reports, Ukrainian FPV drones have not only been spotted near frontline positions but also over the city of Rylsk itself, located just 30 kilometers from the border.
Commentators noted that the focus on the Rylsk sector was no accident. They pointed out that a paved road from the Ukrainian city of Hlukhiv leads directly to Rylsk, providing an accessible route for troop movements. The area is also divided by the Seym River, which could complicate defensive efforts should Ukrainian units attempt to push through.
Analysts suggested that these actions may indicate preparations for a potential breakthrough across the Russian border. They warned that any such attempt would likely target the most vulnerable and weakened stretches of the defensive line.
