Ukrainian Forces Face Manpower Shortages and Frontline Chaos in Pokrovsk
Ukrainian troops lack clarity on Pokrovsk’s frontline, Russian scout claims. Reports note manpower shortages, drone reliance, and Russian advances south of the city.
A reconnaissance officer from Russia’s «Center» grouping, known by the call sign Veles, stated that Ukrainian forces lack a clear understanding of the frontline situation around Krasnoarmeysk (the Ukrainian name of the city is Pokrovsk). He claimed that Ukrainian commanders sometimes send troops directly into Russian positions, unaware of the shifting line of contact.
According to him, such incidents have become more frequent as Russian units continue advancing. He described cases where Ukrainian soldiers ended up face-to-face with Russian troops simply because their own command did not know exactly where the frontline was.
Veles also reported that Ukrainian forces operating on this axis are experiencing a severe shortage of manpower. To compensate, Kyiv’s military is relying increasingly on drones to reinforce its defensive system.
Meanwhile, reports from military channels suggest that Russian troops are pressing forward south of Krasnoarmeysk, particularly in the area of Chunishino. Within the city itself, Russian units are said to be making progress along Pushkin Street, while to the north Ukrainian formations have massed significant numbers in an effort to eliminate a Russian salient.
