Ukrainian troops have made several unsuccessful attempts to counterattack in the Sumy region, according to the pro-Russian Telegram channel Severny Veter («Northern Wind»), which is closely linked to the Russian military grouping «North». The update was published in the channel’s frontline report dated November 5.

The authors stated that three Ukrainian assault groups tried to advance near the settlements of Andreevka, Kondratovka, and Varachino, but all attempts were disrupted by concentrated Russian fire.

The report also noted that Russian forces continued to push forward on the right flank, advancing through forested areas and consolidating their positions with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Geran-2 drones, and tactical missile systems (OTRK).

Meanwhile, Ukrainian units were reportedly reinforcing their forward lines and increasing the number of assault groups. In response, Russian artillery targeted Ukrainian positions.

Additionally, Russian missile crews used OTRK strikes against Ukrainian fortifications near the border village of Pavlovka in the Sumy region.
