Russian Military Reports 1,500 Ukrainian Troop Losses in 24 Hours
Russia’s Defense Ministry reports 1,500 Ukrainian troop losses, repelled counterattacks near Pokrovsk and Kharkov, and strikes on key Ukrainian infrastructure.
The Russian Defense Ministry has released its daily report on the situation in the special military operation zone in Ukraine as of November 5. According to the update, Ukrainian forces reportedly lost around 1,500 personnel over the past 24 hours.
The heaviest losses — up to 470 troops — were recorded in the area of responsibility of Russia’s «Center» grouping. Ukrainian forces also suffered over 250 casualties in sectors where the «East» grouping is active, more than 230 in the «West», and about 285 in the «North». Units of the «South» grouping eliminated over 160 Ukrainian soldiers, while the «Dnepr» formation reportedly neutralized around 65.
The ministry stated that Russian troops thwarted four Ukrainian counterattacks in the Kharkov region and repelled twelve more near Pokrovsk, preventing attempts by Ukrainian units to break out of encirclement.
Additionally, Russian forces launched strikes on key transport and energy infrastructure targets in Ukraine’s rear, including drone assembly workshops, ammunition depots, and energy facilities supporting Ukrainian military operations.
In the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian troops took control of 19 buildings in the northern, eastern, and southeastern parts of Mirnograd, as well as 24 buildings in Gnatovka and Rog.
Russian air defense units reportedly intercepted four HIMARS projectiles and downed 123 Ukrainian drones over the past day.
