According to military analyst Yuri Podolyaka, Russian forces carried out five overnight strikes on the Pavlograd gas compressor station in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. He reported that the facility was set ablaze following the attack.

Podolyaka noted in his Telegram channel that satellite images show the aftermath of the strikes, with five visible impact points on the station’s territory. He added that residents across Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions witnessed a large flame in the night sky. While the full extent of the damage remains unclear, he stressed that the facility will inevitably require long-term repairs.

The analyst also underlined the importance of the Pavlograd station, as well as the nearby Shebelinka compressor station, which was also struck on the same day. Both, he explained, play a critical role in Ukraine’s gas supply system. Podolyaka pointed out that Ukraine’s gas transmission network was originally designed for exporting fuel rather than importing it from Europe, as is the case today. Because of this, Kyiv has limited flexibility in rerouting supplies, leaving «bottlenecks» in the system. One of the most significant of these, he said, is the Shebelinka facility.
