Around 150 Russian soldiers held their ground in Kucherov Yar on the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) front line, despite facing Ukrainian forces that outnumbered them nearly ten to one. At present, the 10-kilometer stretch of territory between Fedorovka and Kucherov Yar is reported to be under full control of Russian units.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, Russian troops managed to link up with other units and repel roughly 20 Ukrainian assaults over the course of four days. The outlet noted that the favorable position of the defenders allowed drone operators to put additional pressure on the attacking side.

Ukrainian command, meanwhile, is said to have redeployed some of its most capable formations to the area — including special operations units, airborne troops, and other elite detachments. In total, about 2,000 soldiers were concentrated in the sector, intensifying pressure on Russian defenses near Krasnoarmeysk.

The initial Ukrainian strike targeted the zone of Russia’s recent breakthrough. Despite this, three to four reinforced Russian platoons reportedly managed to maintain their positions in Kucherov Yar for several days, holding the line against repeated attacks.
