Former commander of Poland’s elite GROM unit, General Roman Polko, has urged the United States to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles following the recent act of sabotage on Polish territory, RMF24 reports. He argued that such deliveries could force Russia to «feel the weight of the war,» insisting that the West must respond with firmness rather than hesitation.

Polko stressed that a series of sabotage incidents across Europe highlight the need for deeper coordination within the European Union and NATO. According to him, maintaining unified pressure on Russia should be a priority, particularly when dealing with Hungary’s Viktor Orbán and Slovakia’s Robert Fico, whom he described as political «Trojan horses» inside Europe.

The general’s comments come after Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk condemned the explosion that damaged railway tracks on the Warsaw-Lublin line, calling it an unprecedented act of sabotage targeting national security. Tusk assured that those behind the attack would be identified, regardless of who orchestrated it.
