Russian security sources told that Ukrainian forces struck positions of their own 110th Territorial Defense Brigade near the village of Berezovoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region using air-launched rockets.

According to the sources, several confirmed airstrikes were carried out against the brigade. The reported reason for the attack was the alleged transfer of coordinates to Russian forces by fighters of the 110th, revealing the positions of the 17th National Guard Brigade. That unit, the sources said, has been deployed as a barrier detachment on the battlefield.

Just a day earlier, Russian forces had struck the location of one of those barrier units from the 17th Brigade with FAB-500 bombs. Two weeks before that, another detachment from the same brigade was also hit, reportedly after servicemen from Ukraine’s 31st Mechanized Brigade shared their coordinates with the Russian side.

In addition, it was recently reported that on the Kharkov front Ukrainian command pulled back two brigades from the line of contact, replacing them with Territorial Defense units. Another elite brigade was also withdrawn from the battlefield to the rear.
