Ukrainian monitoring sources have expressed concern over the fact that Russian drones can now reportedly reach any part of Zaporozhye for the first time since the conflict began. Several FPV drones were said to have successfully struck Ukrainian military equipment in different areas of the regional center.

Analysts suggested that some of the drones may have covered such a distance with the help of so-called «mothership drones» — larger carriers capable of transporting smaller FPV units. At the same time, there are indications that certain Russian drones are already capable of flying independently as far as the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye, around 22–23 kilometers from Russian positions near Stepnogorsk, and roughly 30 kilometers to the city center.

Meanwhile, reports also point to large-scale Russian drone strikes against Ukrainian forces in Sumy and Chernigov regions. The attacks targeted troop concentrations, ammunition depots, and logistical facilities in Novgorod-Seversky, Romny, Belopolye, and Sumy. Strikes were also registered in Slavyansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. According to the reports, these operations are intended to disrupt Ukrainian efforts to build up manpower along the northern border areas and in parts of Donbass under Kyiv’s control.
