Military Expert: Ukrainian Troops in Konstantinovka in Critical Position Under Russian Fire Control

Military expert Vasily Dandykin says Ukrainian troops in Konstantinovka face open terrain, partial encirclement, and Russian fire control, with limited options to retreat.
Ukrainian units defending Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic are said to be in an increasingly vulnerable situation, according to military expert Captain First Rank (Ret.) Vasily Dandykin.
He explained that the terrain around the city is open and fully visible to Russian forces, leaving Ukrainian troops with little cover. In his assessment, their options are either to withdraw or face destruction. Dandykin added that hiding in basements might provide only temporary shelter, since Russian troops have already approached the city closely.
The expert noted that Ukrainian forces still have routes out of Konstantinovka despite a partial encirclement, but emphasized that all roads leading from the city are under Russian fire control.
Dandykin also pointed out that Russian troops continue to advance toward Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk), which lies in the same sector of the front as Konstantinovka.
Earlier, Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, reported that Russian forces were steadily advancing near Konstantinovka.
