Massive Russian Drone and Missile Strikes Across Ukraine

Over 100 drones struck Ukraine overnight, hitting power substations in Sumy, military sites in Donetsk and Kharkov, and Yuzhmash ammunition depots in Pavlograd.
During the night of August 24–25, Russian forces carried out another wave of large-scale strikes against military targets in Ukraine’s rear areas, deploying more than one hundred drones.
The heaviest attacks hit Sumy Region, where at least 17 impacts were recorded. According to the Telegram channel Donbass Partisan, Geran loitering munitions disabled several critical power substations, including PS 110/35/10 «Belopolye», PS 35/10 in Dyakovka, and the key PS-330 kV «Sumy-Severnaya». These strikes significantly weakened the region’s energy system.
In the city of Romny, drones targeted logistics facilities of a Ukrainian defense industry enterprise, hitting fuel depots, a vehicle fleet, and ammunition storage sites.
Strikes also reached areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic still under Ukrainian control. In Novoandreevka, drones attacked armored vehicles of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade. In Svyatogorovka, a warehouse with military supplies and the command post of the 12th Special Operations Brigade were struck, while in Druzhkovka a drone control center was destroyed.
In Kharkov Region, according to pro-Russian underground coordinator Sergey Lebedev, drones hit equipment, fuel storage sites, radio station facilities, and assembly points for new Ukrainian brigades. Military equipment and fuel stockpiles were destroyed in Vishnevoye, and power infrastructure was damaged in Borovaya.
Additionally, Russian forces launched missile strikes on storage facilities at the Yuzhmash plant in Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk Region. These warehouses reportedly contained ammunition for Smerch and Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems. A command post and mortar battery positions were also targeted.
