Russian Pilot Shoots Down Five Ukrainian Drones Over Leningrad Region


A Russian pilot destroyed five Ukrainian drones during a mass UAV attack on Leningrad Region. Governor Drozdenko praised his actions as air defenses repelled strikes.
Governor of Leningrad Region Aleksandr Drozdenko reported that during yesterday’s Ukrainian drone attack on the region, a Russian pilot managed to shoot down five UAVs on his own.
According to the governor, he personally visited the 6th Air Defense Army, which has been tasked with repelling Ukrainian drone incursions in Leningrad Region. On site, Drozdenko spoke with the army’s commander, General Oleg Makovetsky, as well as with servicemen under his command.
He noted that he shook hands with the pilot who, during the mass drone assault on the region, personally destroyed five aerial targets.
Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry had announced that by the morning of the previous day, 43 Ukrainian kamikaze drones had been detected and shot down over Russian territory. Six of them were intercepted in the skies over Leningrad Region.
