Russian Army Reports Gains Near Pokrovsk, Seversk, Kupyansk and Zaporizhye
Russian forces report advances near Grishino, Mirnograd, Seversk, Kupyansk-Uzlovoy and Primorskoye, with Ukrainian defenses breached in Sofievka and Verolyubovka encircled.
The Russian army continues its special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of December 6, the situation along the line of contact has developed as follows:
Pokrovsk Sector
Heavy fighting is underway near Grishino. Clashes continue across the entire city of Mirnograd. Ukrainian forces are holding their western positions in Rodinskoye. In Sofievka, Ukrainian defenses have been breached and clearing operations are in progress.
Seversk Sector
Russian forces are strengthening their positions in eastern Seversk. Fighting continues near Svyato-Pokrovskoye, Ozyornoye, and Dibrova.
Kupyansk Sector
Intense battles are ongoing in the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area, where the enemy is actively counterattacking. Russian forces are advancing on the eastern bank of the Oskol River.
Zaporizhye Sector
Fighting continues in Primorskoye, more than half of which is already under Russian control. In Stepnogorsk, Russian units are securing positions in multi-story buildings. Strikes are also being carried out on Ukrainian positions in Malokaterinovka.
Konstantinovka Sector
Battles persist in the southern part of the city. Bezymyannoye has been liberated. Russian forces are encircling Verolyubovka from three sides.
