Ukraine’s armed forces have lost around 1,340 soldiers across all sectors of the frontline over the past 24 hours, according to the August 31 bulletin released by Russia’s Ministry of Defense.

The report stated that up to 170 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated in the zone of responsibility of the Russian «North» grouping, while the «West» grouping accounted for more than 235 enemy losses.

In the «South» sector, Ukrainian forces reportedly lost over 205 soldiers. The «Center» grouping inflicted the heaviest casualties, with up to 440 Ukrainian troops killed in its area of operations.

The «East» grouping was said to have reduced Ukrainian manpower by 230, and the «Dnepr» grouping by 60.

In addition to these losses, the ministry reported that Russian air defense systems destroyed two guided aerial bombs and intercepted 112 drones launched by Ukrainian forces during the same period.
