Russian forces have taken full control of the southern part of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) following the capture of the settlement of Kamyshevaha, Denis Pushilin announced on his Telegram channel.

According to him, over the past week Russian units secured several key locations — Pervoye Maya, Nelepovka and Kamyshevaha. With these gains, he stressed, all towns and districts in the southern sector of the DPR are now under the command of the «Vostok» grouping of the Russian Armed Forces.

Pushilin described the development as a turning point, noting that the last remaining settlement in the area had now come under control. He expressed gratitude to the servicemen involved in the operation and underlined the significance of securing the region.

He also stated that Russian troops are now advancing into the neighboring Dnepropetrovsk Region, working to establish the conditions needed to ensure the security of the newly held areas.

A day earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that fighters from the «Vostok» formation had taken Kamyshevaha.
