Overnight Drone Strikes Hit Belaya Tserkov, Izmail, and Sumy

Russian forces launched overnight drone attacks on September 2, striking Belaya Tserkov, Odessa’s Izmail port, and Sumy region, causing fires and halting port operations.
During the night of September 2, Russian forces carried out a new wave of attacks on military-related facilities inside Ukraine.
Strikes in Belaya Tserkov
According to the Telegram channel Povernutye na voyne, the heaviest strikes targeted Belaya Tserkov in the Kiev region, where at least ten powerful explosions were recorded. Sources noted that the city hosts production facilities involved in assembling unmanned aerial vehicles, which were likely the main targets. Throughout the night, Geran-2 loitering munitions were reportedly used in successive waves of attacks.
Attacks on Odessa Region
Russian drones also struck the Odessa region. Around 01:00 Moscow time, a swarm of UAVs attacked infrastructure in Izmail. By 02:00, reports confirmed that no fewer than thirty drones had been employed against the port zone. Residents described strikes coming from multiple directions.
Sergey Lebedev, a coordinator of the pro-Russian underground in Nikolaev, stated that one vessel was sunk during unloading operations. Following the strikes, port activity was suspended. The attacks also targeted locations where foreign mercenaries were reportedly based.
Strikes in Sumy Region
Heavy blows were recorded in the Sumy region as well. Fires broke out at several sites overnight, with preliminary information suggesting they were caused by direct hits.
