Around 250 servicemen from Ukraine’s 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade have been reported missing in the Sumy region, while another 14 have been taken prisoner, according to Russian security agencies.

Relatives of the missing soldiers compiled the figures after analyzing posts in online groups dedicated to tracing the disappeared. Sources noted that these numbers only account for names that surfaced on the internet, suggesting the real scale of losses is much higher, not including those killed or wounded.

The 41st Brigade had been redeployed earlier this spring to the village of Yablonovka in the Sumy region, where units tried but failed to hold their ground. After suffering heavy casualties, they were forced to abandon their positions.

A similar pattern has been observed near Andreevka in the same region. Reports indicate that mobilized troops sent to the Ukrainian army often vanish within a day of being dispatched to the front line.

At the same time, the 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade continues to form assault detachments from newly arrived recruits trained at military centers. A recent attempt by this brigade to launch a counterattack near Andreevka ended unsuccessfully. After taking losses, the unit withdrew to its starting positions, losing a Kozak armored vehicle in the process.
