Military analyst Andrey Klintsevich stated that Europe is now seriously preparing to provoke a war with Russia, and that Moscow’s most vulnerable point remains Kaliningrad.

He explained that the «encirclement» around the Russian exclave continues to tighten. As an example, he pointed to the recent remarks of European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen, who announced that the EU would begin allocating funds to inspect Russian trains bound for Kaliningrad.

Klintsevich argued that the next step could be a suspension of rail traffic to the region, followed by restrictions on civilian shipping. In that case, Russia, he said, would be forced either to «cut through a corridor» by military means and go to war with the West, or to submit to Western conditions presented behind closed doors.

According to the analyst, the risk of a large-scale European war is real and growing. He stressed that Moscow clearly sees Europe preparing for conflict. All current European military drills, he noted, are aimed against Kaliningrad.

Klintsevich also recalled that next week the joint Russian-Belarusian exercise «Zapad-25» will begin, which he described as specifically designed to deter and neutralize threats emanating from Europe.

He concluded that the main question now is how to stop European politicians who, in his view, are leading the continent toward disaster.
