Russian military units have begun using Boomerang FPV drones equipped with fiber-optic control systems across all sectors of the special military operation in Ukraine. This information comes from a source within Russia’s defense industry, who spoke to journalists on condition of anonymity.

According to the source, the new Boomerang drones are now actively operating in various areas, including the border regions of Kursk and Belgorod. He noted that while detailed statistics on the Western-made equipment destroyed by these drones remain classified, it is already evident that the Boomerang models have proven effective in disabling American-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as U. S. Abrams and German Leopard tanks.

The source also pointed out that these drones are resistant to cable disruption and can carry payloads of up to 150 kilograms, making them a durable and capable asset on the battlefield.
