Military analyst Yuriy Knutov told RT that the decision by the so-called «coalition of the willing» to supply Kiev with long-range missiles should be viewed not simply as an effort to prolong the fighting, but as a form of direct intervention in the conflict.

He noted that unlike earlier debates in individual states-such as Germany’s controversial discussions over providing Taurus missiles-this step is presented as a collective move. According to him, framing it as a joint initiative under the banner of the coalition makes it appear «cleverly disguised," since responsibility is spread among multiple participants rather than a single government.

Knutov stressed that Moscow now has grounds to warn Western countries: such actions, in his view, effectively free Russia’s hands to target facilities where these missiles are produced.

The expert argued that Russia’s response should be firm and unambiguous, sending a clear signal to coalition members about the potential consequences of their involvement.
