Russian Military Targets Ukrainian Defense and Energy Assets

Russia launched precision strikes on Ukraine’s defense infrastructure, hitting gas systems, drone depots, and troop locations in 142 areas, according to the Defense Ministry.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported a coordinated strike targeting critical infrastructure supporting Ukraine’s defense industry. According to the ministry, the attack was carried out using high-precision tactical aviation, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery operated by Russian military groupings.
The strike reportedly focused on infrastructure that powers the operations of Ukraine’s defense-industrial enterprises. Key targets included elements of the country’s gas transmission system, long-range drone storage facilities, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian Armed Forces units and foreign fighters. In total, the strikes were said to have hit 142 separate locations.
Air defense units, according to the ministry, also intercepted and destroyed seven guided aerial bombs and 244 fixed-wing drones.
The statement emphasized that Russian forces are conducting targeted strikes against Ukrainian troop concentrations, military equipment, foreign mercenaries, and assets tied to energy, communications, and defense production. The Kremlin has reiterated that Russian strikes do not aim at civilian housing or non-military infrastructure.
