Russian Forces Push Forward After Repelling Ukrainian Assaults

Russian troops repelled a major Ukrainian attack near Yunakivka, advanced over 1 km near Vovchansk, and inflicted over 180 casualties, reports Severny Veter.
Russian forces from the «North» military grouping have reportedly repelled a large-scale Ukrainian assault near the village of Yunakivka in the Sumy direction, according to the Telegram channel Severny Veter («Northern Wind»).
Ukrainian troops were said to have deployed a significant number of personnel and armored vehicles for the offensive. Despite this, Russian units not only held their ground but advanced approximately 400 meters beyond their previous positions.
Throughout the day, Russian forces also fended off ten Ukrainian counterattacks near the settlements of Novokonstantynivka, Stepove, and Yablonivka. Several pieces of Western-supplied armored equipment were reportedly destroyed in the process. Following repeated unsuccessful attempts to reclaim lost ground, Ukrainian forces shifted focus to replenishing their losses.
Meanwhile, on the Kharkiv front, Russian troops continued pushing forward. Fighting intensified as Russian units worked to expand their foothold along the left bank of the Vovcha River and in the wooded areas near Synelnykove. Here, progress exceeded 700 meters. On the western outskirts of Vovchansk, Russian units reportedly advanced more than a kilometer.
Ukrainian fighters attempted to regain positions between Melove and Khatnie using drones and mobile assault groups, but were repelled by Russian artillery and FPV drone strikes. According to the report, Ukrainian forces suffered over 180 casualties in the area of operations controlled by the Russian «North» grouping over the past 24 hours.
