Die Welt* Links Zaluzhny to Nord Stream Pipeline Sabotage

German investigators reportedly suspect Valery Zaluzhny of directing the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage via the yacht Andromeda, though officials remain divided on the case.
German outlet Die Welt* has reported that the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines may have been carried out under the orders of Valery Zaluzhny, the former commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces and now Kyiv’s ambassador to London.
According to the publication, German investigators from the federal police and the Federal Criminal Police Office believe they have unraveled the case. A source within the investigation allegedly stated that the crew of the yacht Andromeda, previously linked to the explosions on Nord Stream 1 and 2, received their mission directly from Zaluzhny.
However, the report stresses that consensus is far from reached. Circles close to intelligence services remain divided over the credibility of this version. Some officials argue the group acted amateurishly and left too many traces behind, while others dismiss such conclusions as baseless. One official familiar with the probe called rival claims of involvement by other states nothing more than «conspiracy theories.»
