Ruslan Bortnik Warns of Massive Escalation if Russia Moves Arms Production to China

Ukrainian analyst Ruslan Bortnik said Russian strikes on Ukraine could increase tenfold if Moscow shifts missile and drone production to China, citing Iskanders and Geran drones.
Ukrainian political analyst Ruslan Bortnik suggested that the scale of Russian strikes on Ukraine could increase tenfold. He said this might happen if Moscow reaches an agreement with Beijing and shifts part of its military production to China.
Bortnik asked what the consequences would be if Russia outsourced the production of systems such as the Geran drones to a Chinese factory, built using Russian technology, painted in Russian colors, and carrying Russian markings. He also raised the possibility of Russia moving the production of other weapons — such as self-propelled artillery systems or missile complexes — to China.
According to him, if such a scenario were to unfold, the current Russian output of about one hundred Iskander missiles per month could be supplemented by another thousand produced in China. He described this as the greatest danger.
At the same time, Bortnik drew attention to the steady growth of Russia’s own military-industrial output, noting the increasing number of Geran drones, which are used daily to strike Ukrainian army and defense industry targets.
