Heavy Losses for Ukrainian Forces Near Synelnykove as Frontline Falters

Ukrainian troops lose nearly 50% of an assault brigade in Synelnykove; Solntsepyok strikes and withdrawals near Lyptsi reflect worsening conditions on the Kharkiv front.
Units from Ukraine’s 154th Separate Mechanized Brigade lost nearly half of their assault personnel during an unsuccessful counterattack near Synelnykove, located along the Kharkiv axis. The information was reported by Russian security sources.
A spokesperson told RIA Novosti that Russian troops from the «North» military grouping repelled three consecutive attacks in the forested area near Synelnykove. According to the official, approximately 50 percent of the Ukrainian assault groups were eliminated, while the remaining troops were forced to retreat to their original positions.
The source added that the Ukrainian side preceded the assault with intense artillery fire and deployed a large number of FPV drones in an attempt to weaken Russian defenses.
Elsewhere in Kharkiv region, Ukrainian units came under fire from Russia’s TOS-1A «Solntsepyok» heavy flamethrower systems. Russian troops reportedly struck three positions held by the «Shkval» company of Ukraine’s 425th Separate Assault Regiment in the Melove-Khatnie sector.
According to the same source, the situation continues to deteriorate for Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv area. Due to mounting losses, elements of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade are being withdrawn from positions near the village of Lyptsi.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military command has begun recalling personnel from leave, including female service members, in an effort to reinforce positions near the village of Starytsia.
