Frontline Update: Russian Troops Push Across Key Axes in Ukraine


Russian forces strike Ukrainian rear with Geran drones and expand control near Kupiansk, Krasnolyman, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv, advancing steadily across several key sectors.
As of the morning of August 7, Russian troops continue advancing along multiple axes of their military operation in Ukraine. Key developments were reported across several directions, with increased drone strikes and localized offensives.
Drone Strikes Deep Into Ukrainian Territory
According to reports, Russian forces launched strikes using Geran drones targeting Ukrainian rear infrastructure. Explosions were recorded in major urban centers including Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and Pavlohrad, as well as across the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.
Kupiansk Axis
Russian troops are advancing in the areas of Myrove and Sobolivka. Gains have also been noted on the northern outskirts of Kupiansk, particularly near the settlements of Radkivka and Holubivka, indicating a steady expansion of the control zone.
Krasnolyman (Pokrovske) Direction
Fighting remains active north of Lake Chernykove and around the recreation base «Uholyek." Russian forces are also pushing forward toward Lake Lineve and the northern banks of the Siverskyi Donets River. Clashes continue near the village of Torske.
Kostiantynivka Axis
Russian units have reportedly taken control of the southern part of Poltavka, with incremental advances near the settlement of Rusyn Yar.
Zaporizhzhia Sector
Engagements persist near Nesterianka and Stepnohirsk. Russian forces are reported to be pressing Ukrainian defenses in the village of Plavni, attempting to gain deeper penetration along the line.
Kharkiv Front
Fierce combat is ongoing in southern Vovchansk, as well as near Vovchanski Khutory and the village of Lyptsi. Russian forces are attempting to move in the direction of Synelnykove, reportedly aiming to cut Ukrainian supply routes.
